Meet Jessica Samson

Hi there! My name is Jessica, and my passion for teaching began at a young age. At just five years old, I discovered my love for education when my kindergarten teacher entrusted me with classmates who needed extra support. I enjoyed helping others learn and this early experience solidified my lifelong commitment to education.

With over two decades of experience in teaching, mentoring, and tutoring, I can help your child succeed. I offer personalized tutoring, test prep, and homework help for all levels of Environmental Science, Biology, and Life Science. I also provide comprehensive guidance to students in building strong resumes, finding and applying to summer programs, writing research papers, selecting and applying to colleges that align with their goals, and securing scholarships. My expertise has helped students earn full-ride scholarships and gain acceptance into prestigious programs, including Princeton University and the Yale Young Global Scholars summer program. With a proven track record of success, I am committed to empowering students to excel and achieve their goals.

As a teacher, I consistently helped my students earn top scores on the Biology state test and the AP Environmental Science exam. In 2021, my first year teaching the course, my Crawford High School students achieved an 80% pass rate (global pass rate: 52.9%) with 60% scoring a 4. Crawford's AP exam pass rate for the two years prior was 19.5%. High state test and AP scores make students more competitive when applying, especially for scholarships. My goal is to help your student succeed, and I look forward to working with you to help them reach their potential.
